Thank you for your interest in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Good Samaritan Hospital, part of the TriHealth system.

We evaluate each individual application holistically, considering a variety of factors to find the best fit for our program. While specific requirements are not mandatory, we do prioritize the following criteria:

  • Graduation within the last 3 years
  • USMLE scores higher than the most recent national mean
  • COMLEX scores higher than the most recent national mean
  • Clinical experience in the United States

Also, given the high volume of applications, signals can be a useful tool to allow more time for reviewing applications from interested candidates. However, while we give priority to applications from those who signal our program, we also consider applicants who do not signal us. Lastly, we currently accept H1B and J1 visas.

These preferences help us identify candidates who are most likely to succeed and thrive in our program. However, we welcome and review all applications through ERAS, recognizing that excellence and potential come in many forms.

Interviews for the 2024-2025 academic year will be conducted in the months of November and December 2024 and January 2025. Our first set of interviews are scheduled for Nov. 4 – 8; second set scheduled for Dec. 2 – 6; and third set scheduled for Jan. 13 – 17, 2025.
