How long will I have to wait to see a physician?

Door-to-doctor time will typically be faster at Bethesda Arrow Springs, Bethesda Butler, Good Samaritan Western Ridge and McCullough Hyde. Approximate wait times are available at TriHealth.com/Emergency. Please know that higher acuity patients will always be seen with a greater sense of urgency, so wait times are not equal for all patients. Patients with life-threatening injuries or issues will receive priority care.

Will my Primary Care doctor be able to see the records from my visit to the TriHealth Emergency Department?

TriHealth uses Epic (Electronic Medical Records) for coordinated communication between all physicians within the network. Test results can also be shared electronically with the patient through MyChart. TriHealth’s network of physicians includes the largest group of Pediatric and Primary Care physicians in the region and a comprehensive network of Physician Specialists.

What services are available at TriHealth Emergency Departments?

All TriHealth Emergency Departments offer 24-hour comprehensive emergency care, comprehensive diagnostic services including CT and MRI, laboratory and pharmacy services.

Is care for a heart attack available at all TriHealth Emergency Departments?

Cardiology testing is available at all Emergency Departments. Cardiac Catheterization is performed 24/7 at TriHealth Bethesda North Hospital and TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital. TriHealth is the leading heart and vascular program in the region, performing more heart surgeries than any other system in the region with the largest team of cardiovascular surgeons in the region.

Are Behavioral Health Services available at all Emergency Departments?

Yes, all Emergency Departments have intake capabilities for behavioral health issues. Good Samaritan Hospital has both in-patient and out-patient behavioral health services.

Does TriHealth offer sexual assault and domestic violence care?

CARES (Center for Abuse and Rape Emergency Services) is a TriHealth program staffed by SANE-trained registered nurses offered at all TriHealth Emergency Departments. The CARES program offers services to victims of sexual assault, elder abuse and domestic violence. Our compassionate staff is a team of professional registered nurses who have received training through the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program. They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide victims with the support and resources they need. The team is specially trained to collect evidence in both sexual assault and domestic violence cases.
