Congratulations on reaching this milestone in your cancer journey. At TriHealth, we understand that survivorship is more than just completing treatment – it’s about rebuilding and thriving. Remember, every step forward, no matter how small, is a victory. Together, we can navigate the road ahead where support, healing, and empowerment await. Your strength and resilience inspire us, and we are honored to walk alongside you.
We believe survivorship is an integral part of the cancer care continuum. We are committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care that addresses not just the physical aspects of recovery, but the emotional, social, and psychological needs as well. We strive to empower our survivors with the tools and support they need to lead fulfilling, healthy lives beyond treatment.
A cancer survivor can mean different things to different people. A cancer survivor is a person with a history of cancer who may have unique healthcare needs during and after treatment when compared to people who never received cancer treatment. Treatment may be chemotherapy/immunotherapy, radiation, and/or surgery. Survivorship care includes family, friends, and caregivers. We understand that completing cancer treatment can bring about a sense of isolation and a change in support dynamics. For some, it signifies a new chapter with a different approach to life and a new normal. That’s why we’re here to ensure that you receive personalized care to support your well-being, for as long as you need us. If you have any physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, financial, or social challenges, that is what survivorship care is aimed to help.
Completing cancer treatment can be a relief and a season of joy; yet challenges may exist. We want to assure you that completing cancer treatment is not the end of our support. Our survivorship program focuses on helping you regain a sense of normalcy, manage any lingering side effects, and building a healthy, active lifestyle. Survivorship issues may include management of treatment-related side effects such as fatigue, cognitive issues such as memory or “brain fog”, lymphedema, weight management, fears and worries that interfere with daily activities, relationships, body image, physical activity with rehabilitation needs, or returning to work. Our team of experts will create a personalized plan that addresses your specific needs and goals.
