The TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute places more pacemakers to keep hearts beating, in more patients each year than any other hospital in Greater Cincinnati. In fact, our physicians at TriHealth's Bethesda North Hospital performed the first FDA-approved implantation of a new MRI-compatible pacemaker.
The revolutionary MRI-compatible pacemaker allows pacemaker patients to have Magnetic Resonance Imaging scans, which are critical for making a wide range of health diagnoses.
Although this device is not recommended for all patients, offering this pacemaker therapy reinforces TriHealth's continued commitment to providing cutting-edge heart care and quality outcomes for our patients.
TriHealth's Good Samaritan Hospital is unique in its support for pacemaker patients. All pacemaker programming – at the time of implant or anytime reprogramming is required – is performed by specialized nurses who work for the hospital rather than the device manufacturer. Our specialized pacemaker nurses are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to ensure that when our pacemaker patients need assistance, qualified professionals are just moments away.
