What is Congestive Heart Failure?

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is a condition where the heart is no longer able to pump enough blood to the body’s organs. The heart continues to work, but not in an efficient manner.

How is Heart Failure Treated and Diagnosed at TriHealth?

To diagnose congestive heart failure, a routine physical exam with a careful medical history should be performed. Physicians may also order blood tests, x-rays, an EKG, stress tests, CT scan, MRI, or an angiogram at various points in the process to help get a true understanding of the condition. Treatments include medicine regimens or the following procedures:
