Dr. Tameron long thought she would like to go into health care, having a grandfather who was a surgeon. She earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering and worked on electronic health records for several surgical subspecialties before deciding to continue her medical education. She found surgery to be a natural progression from engineering, since both fields work methodically to come up with solutions to problems. Dr. Tameron will see patients of all ages for acute care, emergency and trauma surgeries. She also will provide critical care in the intensive care unit. Dr. Tameron believes in forging open and trusting relationships based on honest communication. She actively works with patients to put together surgical and nonsurgical solutions to address their health concerns. Because she sees so many preventable traumatic injuries, she encourages everyone to take safety precautions like buckling seatbelts and wearing helmets.
A Cincinnati native, Dr. Tameron and her husband have one daughter. She enjoys time with her family, traveling and cooking. She also volunteers with Stop the Bleed, a collaborative effort to train the public in proper bleeding control techniques that may be used to save lives.
