An interest in being of service and a love of science led Dr. Andrew Vogel to pursue medicine as a career. His volunteer time at a Columbus, Ohio, hospital confirmed his decision. While in medical school, he discovered a passion for critical care, helping critically ill patients and their families at astressful time. He chose to specialize in pulmonary medicine as a way to help those same patients manage their conditions.
Dr. Vogel sees diagnoses, treats and manages diseases of the respiratory system in adults. He has a particular interest and special training in lung nodules, tracking, diagnosing and performing procedures related to lung cancers. Grateful for the opportunity to care for patients, he sees himself as a partner in their health, helping them understand the condition, any treatments and management approaches. He emphasizes smoking cessation as a preventive measure. Dr. Vogel encourages everyone to exercise more to help them live better.
Dr. Vogel and his wife, who is a nurse, have two daughters and two sons. He enjoys playing tennis and golf, staying up on current events and reading.
