Paula Neidhard, DNP, always knew she wanted to go
into nursing. During a rotation in oncology, she fell
in love with the specialty and dedicated her career to
cancer patients and their journeys. Over more than
30 years, including 20 as a nurse practitioner, she has
gained extensive experience in every subspecialty
of oncology. She values the opportunity to connect
with patients by spending time, listening carefully and
providing information.
As a certified nurse practitioner, Paula works with
patients and their families during the diagnosis and
treatment process for cancer. She also provides
palliative care. By letting them take the lead in sharing
concerns, Paula provides a safe space where patients
can feel heard. She wants people to feel comfortable
sharing all aspects of their lives so she can treat their
symptoms holistically. She encourages everyone to do
what makes them happy to live a meaningful life.
Originally from Vancouver, British Columbia, Paula is
married and has four stepsons. She is an avid golfer and
runs a women’s league. She enjoys gardening, travel
and cooking.
