Dr. Mufti Ahmad loves his work and finds it deeply rewarding to help improve a person’s life. He comes to TriHealth with four years of experience as a hematologist/ oncologist for a major health system in New York and Indiana.
Dr. Ahmad sees patients for the diagnosis and treatment of blood disorders and cancers. He is particularly interested in iron deficiency, in addition to blood count and clotting disorders. Dr Ahmad has performed extensive research work in lung, prostate and breast cancer. He also treats a variety of cancers, including breast, lung, genitourinary and hematologic malignancies. Dr. Ahmad greets his patients with great empathy and compassion, understanding how vulnerable they may feel. He creates a friendly environment where patients can feel comfortable sharing any problems and feelings. He listens to his patients, working with them to determine the best treatment. Dr. Ahmad encourages everyone to find a way to relax, noting the impact stress has on the immune system and the journey to health.
Born in Pakistan, Dr. Ahmad attended school in England and came to the United States for residency. He and his wife have two children and relocated to Cincinnati to be near family. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing pool, hiking and watching cricket matches.
