Pulmonary Medicine

TriHealth Pulmonary Medicine is a group practice specializing in Pulmonology, the diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases, as well as Sleep Medicine. The five physicians are dedicated to serving the needs of patients with lung disease and sleep disorders throughout Greater Cincinnati and Butler County.  

What Does a Pulmonologist Do?

As pulmonologists, our physicians possess specialized knowledge and skill in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary (lung and respiratory) conditions and diseases. Pulmonology is one of the subspecialties of the field of internal medicine. Since pulmonologists encounter a wide variety of clinical problems in their patients, they must have a strong knowledge of general internal medicine as well as the other medical subspecialties in order to properly diagnose and treat pulmonary diseases. For this reason, pulmonologists must obtain certification in internal medicine prior to obtaining their certification in pulmonary disease.
