Tammy Wilkins, MD, enjoys working with adult patients 18 and over who are in crisis and embraces a Mind-Body-Spirit approach to wellness. She maximizes time with patients striving to understand and engage each patient around their unique biology and struggles attempting to offer them effective treatment , hope and a sense of possibility. Dr Wilkins educates her patients about their illness and the myriad of ways they can improve their mental health with lifestyle changes, improved coping skills and shifts in their thinking in addition to appropriate medication.

Dr. Wilkins also addresses the many myths and misconceptions about mental health assisting her patients to understand how common these illnesses are and the importance of full recovery to avoid recurrence. She treats a variety of mental health conditions and has a special interest in treating mental illness during menopause, pregnancy and the post-partum period. She works in the hospital setting only including the psychiatric inpatient units, consultations throughout the hospital and treats those in the Good Samaritan Psychiatric Partial Hospitalization Program.
