Dedicated to helping people, Dr. Stephanie Cockrill is interested in preventing health problems and helping people stay healthy. She enjoys working with families, which allows her to be proactive in identifying and intervening with potential health concerns.
Dr. Cockrill sees patients of all ages, from birth through geriatrics, to prevent, diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses. She is not judgmental and wants her patients to feel comfortable turning to her with any questions. She has experience working with the LGBTQ community and has a passion for bridging gaps in health care for all. She encourages everyone to be open and honest with physicians so they can address all health care needs. She considers it a privilege to be involved in her patients’ lives and truly values the trust invested in her.
Married with children, Dr. Cockrill was raised in blue‑collar, rural Alabama, giving her an appreciation for people from all walks of life. She has a long history of working with United Cerebral Palsy and therapeutic horseback riding. Her interests include sewing, crafting and remodeling her 1800s farmhouse.
