Stephanie Hunstad, M.D. received her medical degree from The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, in Iowa City, IA in 2007. She completed residency at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. In 2010 and moved to Cincinnati with her family to start her career with TriHealth at Western Family Physicians. She is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Integrative Medicine and has an undergraduate degree in Nutritional Science. She is passionate about prevention and the power of lifestyle to both optimize health and manage chronic illness. She works with her patients not only as a physician, but also as a teacher and coach to help empower each patient to make positive changes that can help improve health.
Dr. Hunstad’s interests include preventive medicine, Integrative Medicine, pediatrics, sports medicine and chronic disease management (and optimally reversal!). She stays busy outside of medicine spending time with her husband and three children. She is also passionate about practicing what she preaches and enjoys cooking, training for half and full marathons, and gardening. She developed curriculum at her office called “Prescriptions on a Plate “and has led numerous talks and cooking sessions teaching patients about the power of food as medicine while demonstrating the preparation of healthy recipes.
