Dr. Soohwan Chun is dedicated to helping his patients feel better. He enjoys interacting with patients in the office and performing procedures when needed. He values the opportunity to follow through with his patients and establish long-term relationships with them.
Dr. Chun sees patients for general gastroenterology concerns. He also conducts a number of procedures, including colonoscopy, endoscopy, ERCP and resection of complex colon polyps. He likes to listen to his patients first, then provide the medical knowledge and advice needed to make informed decisions. He believes in empowering patients to take control of their health. He encourages everyone to maintain a regular routine and practice healthy eating habits.
Previously, Dr. Chun served as associate professor and director of endoscopy at the Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA.
Born in Korea, Dr. Chun came to the US first for boarding school, then to complete his medical training. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. He developed a fascination with coffee during a volunteer stint at a Ugandan hospital. He also loves to travel.
