Samina Ahmed, M.D. found biology fascinating at an early age, combined with her love to help others guided her path towards medicine. Struck by the enthusiasm of a child to learn drew her towards Pediatrics. She believes in creating strong relationships with her patients and families helping them grow into healthy, happy and confident adults.
Dr. Ahmed has been with TriHealth since 2006, prior to joining TriHealth, she practiced in Massachusetts in a teaching hospital. She loves being part of a team that strives to work with families to get and keep patients healthy.
Dr. Ahmed treats pediatric patients from birth through college age (birth through 24 years).
Her practice includes:
- Newborns, infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents and young adults.
- Well checks/Sports physicals
- Immunization and preventive medicine
- Global Health
- All Pediatric Acute and Chronic conditions like : asthma, ear infections, pneumonia, sore throats, rashes to name a few
- ADHD and other school and sleep problems
She is particularly interested in NUTRITION AND OBESITY and uses her unique motivational interviewing skill to change her patients' approach towards healthy life style.
Dr. Ahmed focuses not only on physical well being but also on mental well being of all her patients .
She welcomes patients from all ethnic backgrounds and uses her extensive travel experience to connect with families with different cultural backgrounds.
She emphasizes to all the new parents the importance of 5 Cs when they are looking for a Pediatrician: Compassion, Connection, Communication, Care and Collaboration.
Dr. Ahmed converses fluently in English,Urdu and Punjabi.
