“I want to treat towards health and not towards disease”. Mini Pathrose, M.D. believes that Physicians and Patients need to work together to improve health.
In the 17 years of practicing medicine in the Hamilton area, Dr. Pathrose has strived to interest her patients in the care of the human frame and in the cause and prevention of disease. She believes that sick minds must be healed as well as sick bodies. She sees patients of all ages form infants to seniors. She tries to establish a personal connection with her patients, hoping to help them manage not only their chronic physical illness, but also help during their emotional struggles.
Dr. Pathrose conveys to her patients that medications can only improve health in their presence of good lifestyle modifications with balanced diet and optimal exercise. She humbly accepts that medicine is not a guaranteed science. If patients focus on change, they will get results. She wants to help them on this journey.
As a family physician, Dr. Pathrose addresses a variety of chronic conditions like hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, anxiety, depression with emphasis on other modalities like exercise, counseling, dietary changes etc.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking her German shepherd dog, serving in her church nursey, cooking etc. She lives by her motto “Keep smiling”.
