About Me

Conditions I specialize in
  • Obstetrics and Gynecology

In sixth grade, Dr. Kimberly Bonar found a book in her school library on cardiothoracic surgeons and became enthralled. During medical school, she fell in love with obstetrics and realized she could perform surgery and develop long-term relationships with her patients as an OB-GYN. Helping her patients manage their pregnancies and then delivering their babies gives her the biggest thrill.

With more than 25 years of experience, Dr. Bonar sees adolescents and adults for the full spectrum of women’s healthcare, including general and high-risk obstetrics. She is skilled in the minimally invasive techniques of robotic surgery, hysteroscopic surgery, laparoscopy and pelvic prolapse correction. Dr. Bonar likes to get to know her patients, listening to their concerns and spending time to educate them on their options. She believes in empowering patients to make their own decisions. She emphasizes a healthy lifestyle, including good nutrition, good sleep, reduced stress and exercise, noting that these actions can make a major difference in physical and mental health.

Married for more than 30 years, Dr. Bonar and her husband have four grown daughters and one grandchild. She loves to be outdoors, especially paddleboarding, skiing, boating, hiking and walking her dogs. They also have two cats. She likes to read fiction, try new recipes and travel.
