Dr. Kathryn Calhoun, who enjoyed five fulfilling years of teaching fifth graders, embarked on a transformative journey to become a physician. During medical school rotations, her heart was drawn to obstetrics patients, where she found the profound joy of nurturing women through pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. During residency at the University of Cincinnati, Dr. Calhoun worked on a research project focused on outcomes of fertility care.
Dr. Calhoun sees adolescents and adults for the full range of obstetric and gynecologic care. She is particularly interested in addressing abnormal uterine bleeding and contraceptive management. As an avid listener, Dr. Calhoun creates a judgment-free zone where she considers the goals and priorities of each patient. She strives to assure both a healthy mom and a healthy baby. She wants everyone to feel empowered with their health care, knowing they can make important changes.
Married and blessed with two sons, Dr. Calhoun hails from a military family, born at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton. She was a collegiate swimmer for four years, and she continues to relish aquatic activities. An avid lover of the outdoors, she finds joy in strolls with their dog, outings to parks with her children, and hiking. She also enjoys exploring Cincinnati’s vibrant restaurant scene.
