When is a Lump More Serious?
Joel I. Sorger, MD, knew from his earliest years that he wanted to be a doctor. He is one of only a few orthopedists in Ohio who subspecialize in treating cancers of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Sorger treats tumors, including Ewing's Sarcoma and Osteosarcoma, and other malignancies. He also performs general orthopedic surgery, including total joint replacement.
As a clinical assistant professor for Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio, Dr. Sorger helps ensure excellent training for the next generation of orthopedic surgeons. He also is involved in bone research.
Dr. Sorger was born and raised in New Jersey and now lives in Montgomery with his wife and three children.
