Dr. Jill Manahan would like her patients to feel empowered to work with her in changing and maintaining their health.  As a 7th grader, Dr. Manahan gave her mother the Heimlich and saved her from choking.  Ever since that time, she was motivated to learn about the human body and ways to treat and prevent illness.
She takes a collaborative approach when treating adolescents through adult patients for most common health issues, including diabetes, hypertension, and women's health issues.  She is interested in educating her patients to really focus on their diet and what they are putting in their bodies and strives to have pleased patients that feel better than when they came into the office.  Dr. Manahan completed her residency training with Bethesda Family Practice, and has a vested interest in alternative medicine, such as acupuncture and compounding hormone therapy.
