Jack Basil MD is a board certified gynecologic oncologist and member of Tristate Gynecologic Oncology. He also serves as System Chief and Medical Director for TriHealth women's Services. He graduated from the Ohio State School of Medicine and then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. He then completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Washington University. He worked as an assistant professor at Emory University Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics until 2004 when he joined Tristate Gynecologic Oncology at Trihealth. He became the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Good Samaritan Hospital in 2010 and at Bethesda North Hospital in 2014. Most recently, he was named the System Chief and Medical Director of the Women's Service Line at Trihealth in 2017.
He is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the American College of Surgery. He is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. His clinical interests include robotic gynecologic surgery, hereditary ovarian cancer, and residency surgical training. He has won numerous teaching awards over the years. His wife, Lesley Breech MD, is a pediatric gynecologist at Cincinnati Childrens Hospital and they have two daughters Madelon and Olivia.
