For Dilesh Patel, MD, the best part of medicine is the joy of building relationships. He sees each day as an opportunity to make a patient's life a little easier at a time of unexpected mental and physical stress. Whether it is in the clinic or in the hospital, these opportunities and interactions lead to wonderful relationships that make work so rewarding for Dr. Patel.
Growing up in India, Dr. Patel was attracted to medicine as it is considered one of the noblest and most respected careers. After moving to the United States as a teen, he followed his passion and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2009. Early on, he excelled at cardiology and ultimately chose cardiac electrophysiology, the study of heart rhythm disorders, as his subspecialty. The complexity of rhythm disorders and the advanced technologies that can provide meaningful improvements to patients are the real reasons behind Dr. Patel's specialization in cardiac electrophysiology.
Dr. Patel is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi. He and his wife, a pediatrician, have two young children. Both have a deep interest in public health and are looking forward to a making a positive impact in the Cincinnati community.
