Dawn Manfroy, M.D. was inspired to pursue pediatrics because of an incredible relationship with her childhood pediatrician. She attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, in Nashville, TN where her love of pediatrics was affirmed, then completed a pediatric residency training program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Manfroy then joined the Division of Emergency Medicine at Children’s Hospital as a clinical staff physician which honed her skills for acute care and medically complex situations.
Fueled by a desire to practice primary care, she transitioned to Group Health Pediatrics in 2010. She cherishes the unique privilege of forming relationships over time while caring for her patients and their families. Dr. Manfroy offers a family-centered approach to medicine that allows the child and parents to partner with the physician to facilitate optimal healthcare for the patient.
Dr. Manfroy treats pediatric and adolescent patients, from newborns to the age of 21, for both acute and chronic conditions including: common childhood illnesses, well child visits and sports physicals, obesity and nutrition, allergies and asthma and ADHD, behavior, and development. She has been fortunate to be named a “Top Doctor” by her physician peers in Cincinnati Magazine more than a handful of times since 2012.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Manfroy spends her free time with her husband and their three children. She enjoys running, hiking, and volunteering for community organizations.
