When three family members were diagnosed with cancer, Dr. Corey Hobbs knew he wanted to help treat the disease on the front line. He pursued a career in radiation oncology, where he could work side-by-side with patients in their journey through cancer treatment. Rooted in his personal experiences with his own family members, he is committed to providing excellent care to his patients, with priority on compassion and understanding.
Dr. Hobbs utilizes a wide array of radiation therapies to treat a number of benign and malignant diseases throughout the body, including cancers of the breast, lung, head, and neck. As chief resident of the Mayo Clinic’s Radiation Oncology Residency, he is proficient in cutting-edge radiation therapy treatments, including stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) for lung cancer.
Dr. Hobbs appreciates the role he plays during his patients’ road to recovery. He focuses on developing thorough, individualized treatment plans for each patient and utilizes the latest technological advances to ensure the best results. Most of all, he values the opportunity to spend extra time with patients, discussing plans in detail, answering questions and nurturing strong relationships with each patient.
