Always interested in math and science, Dr. Briggs chose
a career path that allows him to get to know a wide
variety of people and to develop enduring relationships.
He values the opportunity to get to know more about
each individual, rather than focusing on a particular
medical condition.
As a board-certified family medicine physician,
Dr. Briggs sees adults for the prevention, diagnosis
and treatment of acute and chronic illness, including
hypertension and diabetes. A lifelong athlete, he
has a special interest in sports-related injuries and
musculoskeletal problems. He believes in establishing
an open dialogue with his patients, assuring they feel
comfortable sharing their concerns. He encourages
everyone to move, exercising to their abilities, to
promote mental and physical wellbeing.
Married to his middle school sweetheart, Dr. Briggs
is originally from Wilmington. They are pleased to be
raising their young family near relatives in Ohio and
Kentucky. He loves all sports, having played football,
basketball and baseball in high school and went on
to play football in college. He currently helps coach
basketball at Roger Bacon High School.
