With a lifelong interest in science, Dr. Cunningham initially began studying veterinary medicine. During a volunteer job as a Spanish translator at her college health clinic, she discovered how much she loved helping people. She chose to specialize in internal medicine, where she can form long-term relationships over a lifetime of caring for a patient.
Dr. Cunningham gained seven years of experience as a primary care physician at the VA Medical Center. She sees adults, from age 18, to prevent diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses. She strives to put her patients at ease, listening carefully to understand their needs. She encourages everyone to incorporate healthy diet and exercise practices to live better.
Dr. Cunningham and her husband have one daughter. She enjoys reading, working out and exploring healthy eating options.
