Dr. Casey Ogburn decided to become an obstetrician/gynecologist during his Women’s Health rotation in medical school. Going in, it was the last thing he had expected to specialize in, but, in the end, he is certain it’s what he was meant to do. Ultimately, it’s where he felt he could have the biggest impact.
With more than 13 years of experience, Dr. Ogburn sees adolescents and adults for the full spectrum of women’s healthcare, including pregnancy care. In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology, he has a special interest in vaginal hysterectomies using the vNOTES system, with the goal of decreasing recovery time. Dr. Ogburn believes the most important aspect of patient care involves establishing trust and consistently helping to make decisions that are best for the patient.
He supports each patient with honesty and compassion, treating them as he would his own family. He encourages everyone to be realistic about their health conditions and take the steps needed to live better.
Dr. Ogburn spends his free time staying active and attending his children’s activities. He enjoys running, hiking and photography. He and his wife, Kristy, have five daughters between them.
