Brent Bader, M.D. grew up in Columbus, Ohio and Lincoln, Nebraska. He began considering the profession of a physician while in undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, OH. Dr. Bader enjoyed biology and the sciences and contemplated a career in research and teaching but realized that he was more of a people person interested in service. Dr. Bader completed medical school and residency training at the University of Missouri, in Columbia, MO. which has a strong emphasis and is nationally ranked for primary care. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Bader was honored to be selected as Chief Resident for the Internal Medicine Program which allowed him to teach as well as further his own studies.
Dr. Bader chose Internal Medicine for the challenge of learning about and treating a wide range of medical conditions. Being able to treat and help manage all a patient’s health concerns is satisfying to him. In practice in the Oxford area Dr. Bader has served as Chief of Staff at McCullough-Hyde Hospital as well as Medical Director of Pulmonary Medicine and the ICU. He has also served on the Butler County Health Department Board and the Medical Director for the Franklin County, IN. EMS service.
Dr. Bader’s wife is from Oxford and he grew up in college towns making Oxford a great fit. He has enjoyed living and raising his three children in Oxford.
