Curious from a young age, Alexandria Vierling, PA-C,
felt driven to find out how and why certain diseases
affected the people she loved. She wanted to know what
could be done to prevent or treat disease, leading her to
pursue medicine as a career. She finds gastroenterology
intriguing as so many conditions seem to start in or are
affected by the gut.
As a certified physician assistant, Alex sees adults for
acute and chronic illnesses of the gastrointestinal tract,
including reflux disease, celiac disease, colitis and irritable
bowel syndrome. She creates a safe space where patients
can trust her with their personal and medical information.
By establishing long‑term relationships built on trust, she
believes she can help her patients will find the answers
they need. Alex values preventive medicine and strongly
encourages everyone to get all regularly scheduled
screenings, including colonoscopies.
Since high school, Alex has volunteered at the
Beechwood Home, a long-term care facility for people
with neurological disorders. She loves her Bernadoodle
dog and enjoys football, pickleball, cooking and trying
new recipes.
