July 27, 2012 - TriHealth is proud to sponsor the Macy's Music Festival, held July 27-28 at Paul Brown Stadium in downtown Cincinnati.
The event is the second largest R&B music festival in the U.S. (behind the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans), and is considered the largest African-American event in Cincinnati.
One area TriHealth is sponsoring at the Macy's Music Festival is the Club Lounge, where music fans can eat, drink and dance. TriHealth banners adorn the windows, walls and even the stairs.
This is the 50th year for the music festival, which has been known by several names during its tenure. The event began in 1962 as the Ohio Valley Jazz Festival. By the year 2000, the event drew more than 50,000 people annually from across the country.
Past performers have included Aretha Franklin, Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and more. 2012 performers include Charlie Wilson, Frankie Beverly & Maze, KEM, Jaheim and Monica. You can learn more about the Macy's Music Festival at macysmusicfestival.com.
