TriHealth has announced the completion and opening of its new TriHealth Women’s Services OB-GYN Center at Good Samaritan Hospital. The new OB-GYN Center offers affordable pregnancy care and other women’s health care.
The goal of the center is to deliver comprehensive, coordinated pregnancy and gynecological health care to all women,” said Michael Marcotte, MD, TriHealth Director of Quality and Safety for Women's Services. “Expanding on the learning from collaborative projects, StartStrong and M-HeLP, developed in the OB/GYN center, the team uses a coordinated, patient-centered approach to ensure all patients receive high quality seamless care.”
Care will be provided by obstetrics and gynecology residents under the direction of highly trained and experienced faculty physicians.
The new center is on the seventh floor of Good Samaritan Hospital and features sixteen exam rooms, two procedure rooms, two large centering rooms, an ultrasound room and a lactation area as well. There will also be a meeting area for social workers, community health workers and community partners to gather when needed.
The TriHealth Women’s Services Ob-Gyn Center at Good Samaritan Hospital accepts Medicaid products, Medicare, Healthy Start and many other insurance plans. Financial counseling is available as well.
Along with centering pregnancy, the OB-GYN Center provides a team-based care approach for patients including access to community health workers, social workers and community partners. Patients benefit from exceptional medical care and a team of dedicated professionals who ensure that basic needs are met including food and furniture. Partners from Queens Village, The Legal Aid Society (M-Help), Sweet Cheeks Diaper Bank, Cradle Cincinnati and others meet with moms at the center to provide one-stop wrap around services ensuring that moms-to-be have the support and necessities needed to improve their health and take home their new baby.
