TriHealth Sleep Centers, which include: Bethesda North Sleep Center, Bethesda Montgomery Sleep Center, Good Samaritan Sleep Center and Bethesda Butler County Sleep Center, recently underwent review by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). An AASM review and award of accreditation is the 'gold standard' by which the medical community and the public can evaluate sleep medicine services.

  • Bethesda North Sleep Center and Good Samaritan Sleep Center received full 5-year re-accreditation through 2017 from the AASM
  • Bethesda Montgomery Sleep Center received full 5-year accreditation through 2017 as a new center from the AASM
  • Bethesda Butler County Sleep Center was awarded continued accreditation from the AASM through 2014 after being acquired by TriHealth in March 2012

AASM ensures that sleep centers and sleep medicine provider’s display and maintain proficiency in areas such as testing procedures and policies, patient safety, quality improvement, patient evaluation and care, and physician and staff training.

An AASM accredited Sleep Center also reflects a commitment to ensure that sleep disorder patients receive the highest quality of care, specializing in studying, diagnosis and treatment of  disorders of sleep and daytime alertness such as insomnia, narcolepsy and sleep related breathing disorders. There are approximately 1,500 AASM accredited sleep centers in the United States. All TriHealth Sleep Center Physicians are Board Certified in Sleep Medicine as well as in other related specialties.
