Pelvic floor issues in women can include a large number of diagnoses, many of which come with symptoms that are uncomfortable and scary and can have a profound effect on the quality of life. This was true for Terri Pinkston, when a bulge and leaky bladder kept her from doing the things she loves – namely playing with her grandchildren and working in the hot dog stand that she owns with her husband.
Fortunately for Terri, some conditions are treatable through minimally-invasive procedures using robotic technology. In this segment of TriHealth On Call, Terri shares her experience with a procedure that that her back to doing the things she loves. She is joined by Catrina Crisp, MD, a urogynecologist with TriHealth’s Cincinnati Urogynecology Associates, who provides more detail about women’s floor issues and the latest treatment options.
