Health Talk Live: Midwife Care and Meeting Patients Where They Are

Many women these days are turning to certified nurse midwives for personalized care that that goes far beyond maternity care. In this segment of TriHealth’s Health Talk Live, Local 12’s Liz Bonis speaks with Christy and Kelly, who share their experience under the care of a nurse midwife for the birth of their son. They are joined by Amber Rose, a certified Nurse Midwife with TriHealth Women’s Services, who talks about how midwife care far extends beyond maternity care. She explains what it means for midwives to “meet people where they are” and to empower women and their families when it comes to their care. She also touches on the evolving role midwives have played during the COVID-19 pandemic in offering reassuring care and support as well as education to their patients.
