When Ann Lanham saw who she originally thought was one of her son’s friends in the milk aisle at a local Kroger, she was pleasantly surprised when she finally realized it was one of her old physicians!
“Oh my gosh, how do I know this person?” Ann said to herself at first. “I’m supposed to know his name really well.”
Ann said that the man she saw then recognized her, and he identified himself as her former physician, Dr. Edward Crane – he had been her hematologist a few years prior, before moving to see patients at TriHealth.
After a brief catch-up, Ann was convinced she needed to switch now that she found her favorite doctor once again. It also happened to work out conveniently, as Ann also needed a new heart doctor, and Dr. Crane had a recommendation for her.
Dr. Crane then put Ann in contact with Dr. Asimul Ansari – and according to Ann, for more than one reason.
“Number one, he’s a fantastic doctor,” she said about Dr. Crane’s recommending Dr. Ansari. “But number two, he said we would like each other a lot because of our personalities – and so now I have two fabulous doctors here.”
Ann and Dr. Ansari have had a great relationship since she switched over to TriHealth, even joking around about her resilience.
“We were teasing around and I said ‘I think I’m one of those people who has nine lives,’” Ann said. “But I’m not going anywhere.”
“I think I have three more lives,” she added with a smile. “And Dr. Ansari told me to take care of them.”
