Taylor Baumann, PharmD, PGY2 Internal Medicine

College: Cedarville University

Personal Statement: I grew up in Dayton, Ohio and went to Cedarville University where I obtained my PharmD. My professional interests include internal medicine, critical care, and ambulatory care. Following the completion of residency, I intend to become a clinical pharmacist and a preceptor to pharmacy students. My personal interests include spending time with family and friends and traveling different areas of the United States in search for the perfect cup of coffee.

Residency Project: Analysis of oral transition to cefdinir versus moderately and highly bioavailable agents for gram-negative bacteremia

Jeff Mezzone, PharmD, PGY2 Internal Medicine

College: University of Houston

Personal Statement: I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and went to the University of Houston College of Pharmacy for my PharmD. This year I aim to transition from exploring my interest, to building a lifelong practice dedicated to the specialty of internal medicine and aid in developing future pharmacists. After residency, I hope to work as a clinical pharmacy specialist and precept students. My personal interests include playing blitz chess, reading, and cooking with my wife.

Vishal Prakash, PharmD

College: Purdue University

Personal Statement: I grew up in Naperville, Illinois and received my PharmD from Purdue University. During residency, I hope to explore my interests in ambulatory care, internal medicine, transitions of care, and academia. I am excited to explore different areas of pharmacy and work within an interdisciplinary care team. Following completion of residency, I intend to practice as a clinical pharmacy specialist in one of my areas of interest. In my free time, I enjoy exercising, exploring new restaurants, and watching all kinds of sports.

Personal Statement: I grew up in Whitehall, Pennsylvania and went to Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy where I obtained my PharmD. My professional interests include critical care and emergency medicine. Following the completion of residency, I intend to become board certified and work at a hospital system that allows me to be involved on an interdisciplinary team while also taking in a preceptor/ mentor role for student pharmacists. My personal interests include watching sports and spending time with family and friends./p>
