TriHealth President and CEO Mark C. Clement announced the completion of its new state-of-the-art outpatient surgery center addition at its TriHealth Physician Partners | Group Health location on Five Mile Road in Anderson Township.
The 21,000 square- foot TriHealth Surgery Center Anderson will offer the latest technologies and minimally invasive procedures proven to enhance clinical outcomes. It will feature four operating rooms, one endoscopy rooms and a laboratory. The Center will focus on patient/family-centered care including pediatrics.
The first patients will be seen in early January 2018.
The new outpatient surgery center will enable TriHealth surgeons the ability to perform a variety of outpatient surgical procedures including general surgery, endoscopy, gynecologic surgery, orthopedics, hand surgery, ear/nose/ throat, facial plastics and podiatry.
“The new Anderson Surgery Center is committed to embracing new technologies, innovation and minimally invasive procedures while enhancing clinical outcomes with excellence in patient centered care,” said Clement.
“We have designed the expanded Anderson campus to provide a convenient and seamless patient experience,” added Clement. “This provides a ‘one stop’ destination for patients and their families – it also streamlines the care offered by our physicians, nurses, clinicians and team members provide each day.”
The surgery center was built between two existing medical office buildings, with now all three buildings connected and physically integrated as a full-service ambulatory campus.
A ceremonial ribbon cutting on Wednesday (October 25) marked the surgery center’s completion. With construction now complete, the TriHealth Five Mile Anderson campus includes 72,690 square feet including the existing TriHealth Physician Partners |Group Health building (28,000 square feet), the surgery center and the expanded medical office building (23,690 square feet) in addition to a three-story parking garage accommodating 200 vehicles.
The campus expansion also includes additional space to accommodate the growing number of TriHealth primary care physicians and specialists. This includes physicians from the TriHealth Orthopedic and Sports Institute who will provide orthopedic and sports medicine care and an expanded physical therapy program to offer greater convenience for patients.
The surgery center and the expansion of the TriHealth Five Mile campus continues TriHealth’s long standing and growing presence in Anderson Township that now includes multi-specialty locations, primary care, diagnostic services, physician offices, and an urgent care location all within two miles of each other.
Locations include TriHealth Physician Partners |Group Health physician offices on the campus of TriHealth Five Mile, TriHealth Beechmont – Anderson on Beechmont Avenue near Asbury Road, (which includes The TriHealth Heart Institute, The TriHealth Cancer Institute, MRI, CT, ultrasound and lab), TriHealth Priority Care on Beechmont and Queen City Medical Group physician offices (next to Priority Care).
The developer of the property was Hemmer Management Group, who with their team of Paul Hemmer Construction and GBBN Architects, built the core and shell of the building.
TriHealth engaged Moody Nolan Architects and Skanska USA Building Group to complete the interior construction.
It is expected that more than 60 new jobs will be added to the campus once the Surgery Center opens in January.
