Nurse Midwife Services
TriHealth Nurse Midwives provide a full scope of women's health care -- from annual exams and routine gynecology visits to obstetrical and menopausal care and special services for teens.
We
coordinate care in a team setting using a variety of specialists, including obstetricians, perinatologists, nurses, childbirth educators, integrative therapy providers, nutritionists, social workers, lactation consultants and chaplains. We also prescribe medications as needed and offer a wide variety of services:
Obstetrics
- Prenatal and postpartum care
- Labor and delivery care at Good Samaritan Hospital
- Breastfeeding education and care
- Childbirth and parenting preparation
- Centering Pregnancy classes for group support and education
Gynecology
- Women's annual exams
- Preconception care
- Minor gynecology care
- Peri-menopausal through post-menopausal care
- Preventive care for optimal health and comprehensive health care for women
Centering Pregnancy
Centering brings pregnant women together for group support, education and discussions about pregnancy. The discussions are focused on pregnancy, birth, nutrition, breastfeeding, child care, safety and new mothering issues. This program is especially beneficial to teens. These focused gatherings, combineed with one-on-one time with the nurse midwife, empower all women to better understand thier physical and emotional journeys through pregnancy and motherhood.
