Comprehensive mammography services
Trained specialists strive to make your digital mammogram as comfortable as possible. We review all mammograms with the newest computer-aided diagnostic technology, ImageChecker System from R2 Technology, Inc. This system identifies suspicious areas on the mammogram that might warrant a second review. It doesn’t replace the radiologist, but it enhances their ability to identify potential breast cancers earlier.
We also offer MammoPad, a soft foam pillow that cushions your breast without compromising the quality of the X-ray image. Because MammoPads are not covered by insurance, you will be charged a minimal fee if you choose to use one.

Breast Health Navigator provides patient advocates
Nurses in the Breast Health Navigator program advocate on behalf of their breast cancer patients, guiding them through the emotional and physical journey of diagnosis and treatment. Each patient is paired with a nurse who is certified in breast health navigation and has years of experience in oncology, to collaborate with providers to develop a customized program that’s essential to recovery.

Panel reviews breast cancer cases
Our breast panel is a group of physicians who review new breast cancer cases and recommend a comprehensive plan of care. Your surgeon can present your case to the panel, composed of physicians who specialize in areas such as radiology, pathology, surgery, medical oncology, radiation oncology and plastic surgery. This integrated approach gives peace of mind in knowing that your specific situation has been thoroughly reviewed by a range of experts.

Advanced care for high-risk cases
Some people, such as those with a family or personal history of breast cancer, might be at higher risk of developing breast cancer. They need a comprehensive early-detection program like ours, the first in the Tristate to focus on these high-risk women.
We pair advanced technology with expert medical professionals to facilitate early detection. Our comprehensive approach includes:
- Close and ongoing monitoring
- Appropriate medical therapy
- Access to clinical trials
- Nutrition and diet recommendations
- Educational sessions addressing significant advances in breast care
- Contact with nurses, physicians and other experts who can answer questions and help explain specific risk factors, leading to informed personal decisions.
All patients enrolled in our program receive:
- An initial personal risk assessment
- A biannual physical exam by a breast surgeon
- Breast self-exam instruction
- Regular digital mammograms with computer-aided detection
Your surgeon or other medical professionals will discuss:
- Genetic testing, if appropriate
- Tamoxifen therapy and whether referral to an oncologist and enrollment in a medical trial is right for you
- Hormone replacement therapy, diet, dietary supplements, and lifestyle issues as they relate to breast cancer risk and prevention

Schedule a personal risk assessment
You may be at higher risk of developing breast cancer if:
- You have a previous history of breast cancer
- Your mother, sister or daughter has had breast cancer
- Your mother, sister or daughter has had ovarian cancer
- You have had atypical cells detected during a breast biopsy
If you have one or more of these risk factors, you may be a candidate for enrollment in the High-Risk Program. Call (513) 865-3344 to schedule your personal risk assessment.
