As Dr. John H. Proctor considered careers, he chose medicine to combine his love of science with helping people. During medical school, he followed his own childhood doctor and fell in love with family medicine. He especially values working with people of differentbackgrounds and ages, getting to know his patients and their families through all stages of life.
Dr. Proctor sees patients of all ages, from newborns through the elderly, for the prevention and treatment of acute and chronic medical conditions. He is particularly interested in pediatrics and giving babies a healthy foundation. He believes in creating an environment of honesty and open communication, both friendly and non‑judgmental. Dr. Proctor encourages everyone to walk everyday, underscoring the mental and physical benefits of exercise and time spent outside.
Dr. Proctor enjoys outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking, cycling, golf and spending time with friends, family and his two dogs. He and his wife also participate in volunteer activities through their church.
