Making a personal connection with her patients and impacting their lives in a positive way is of utmost importance to Dr. Hacer Guvenc Bicer. As a child living in Turkey, she watched her aunt suffer with rheumatic arthritis and decided she’d like to be able to help others as a physician. She values the long-term relationships she can develop as a primary care doctor. She listens carefully to the stories and experiences her patients share.
Dr. Bicer sees adults of all ages for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illness. She believes in taking time to help her patients understand all aspects of their health plans and involves them in all decision-making. She encourages everyone to eat a well-balanced diet and minimize sugar intake as the key to prevention or postponing disease.
Dr. Bicer moved to Columbus, OH, to conduct brain cancer research before completing her residency. She and her physician husband have two children. She enjoys playing with the kids, hiking with her family and reading.
