Annelise Page joined the TriHealth Precision Medicine Institute in 2019. She graduated from Case Western Reserve University with a Master of Science in Genetic Counseling and a Master of Arts in Bioethics and Medical Humanities. A native of Cincinnati, Annelise enjoys cooking and traveling.
Annelise is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board, the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure, and the Medical Licensing Board of Indiana to practice as a genetic counselor. Annelise is a certified genetic counselor and diplomate of the American Board of Genetic Counseling.
Annelise provides genetic counseling to individuals with a personal or family history of heart disease. In a collaborative process, she works with them to determine the best approach to testing, emphasizing that it is always the individual’s choice. She provides support throughout the process, arranging for appropriate testing, working through the implications, and explaining the results.
Annelise chose to practice cardiovascular genetics because 1 in 200 people have a hereditary heart condition and many are unaware. Today, many decisions about treatments and medications are based on genetic status. By helping guide these individuals through the genetic testing process, she hopes to improve the outcomes for everyone living with hereditary heart conditions.
